Trek Pay & Trek Advertising – On Test!

I have signed up to a system called Trek Pay and Trek Advertising, they are officially in prelaunch at the time of writing, but Trek Pay still promises to pay weekly. You can use either or both systems using the same login details. I will be testing and reviewing the system over the coming weeks to see if it works and if it really pays what it claims. I am upfront and have linked to these systems using my affiliate links as I need to promote the system myself to fully test it, but this review will remain totally unbiased in every way as the good reputation of this website is far more important to me than a few bucks and I’m a very honest person.

Trek Pay:

The 1st system allows you to earn money by searching and visiting websites plus the Ads on these websites, you can also earn extra by referring members. Membership is totally free for all. You get paid weekly by Paypal when your earnings are over $5.50 and the maximum monthly payout is $200. Your payout is worked out using a revenue sharing system based on your credits earned along with your performance rank against the current membership which is rated in 3 ways, your overall rank, your referral rank for Trek Pay and your referral rank for Trek Advertising.

Trek Advertising:

The 2nd system is for advertisers who want people to click on Ads on their websites, E.g. Google Adsense. It costs $0.06 per search (minimum spend $5) which means someone finds your website and clicks on an Ad on it, E.g. A Google Ad. The potential revenue obtained from doing this is allegedly much higher than the cost of $0.06 per Ad, but I’m not 100% convinced that Google Ads or other paid Ad networks will approve of this system if and when they find out – we will soon see! You can also buy basic website traffic at $0.02 per visit. There’s no time limit on how long people have to view a website or website Ads to earn credits so one can click on the link and close it straight away, but there’s an ingenuous way to encourage people to read your website anyway as they occasionally include a special icon on the website, if you don’t click on it you get a penalty point and too many penalty points leads to an account suspension. If you do close the website instantly, you are basically risking a penalty!

ONGOING REVIEW & TESTS

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

Initially both systems look quite good. I have searched the Internet and they appear to genuinely pay as various independent people are offering to show proof which shows it’s unlikely to be a scam, but I will be able to confirm this below in my logs.

I will say however that the amount one is paid is initially kept a secret as it’s a revenue share so I won’t have any idea how well they pay until my total earned is calculated which I suspect happens once a week. This amount could vary as time goes on, it might get better, it might stay around the same or it might get worse. If payments are reasonable, I hope it’s not just a honeymoon period like some systems I’ve used in the past. The amount of credits available is fair with 3066 members and rising at the time of writing, but it’s got a long way to go to make the search facility worth while as at present you can easily click on all Ads available on a daily basis without bothering to search. It’s a shame there is a maximum payout of $200 a month using the 1st system which isn’t a fortune, but it’s better they are honest with this than not to pay out at all like the many scam sites out there on the Internet today that falsely promise great riches. I will keep a log as to how I’m getting on over the coming weeks.

For advertisers, it a really good idea to allow people to obtain hits on Ads that create direct revenue on their websites. People even get the option of searching for Ads based on keywords or they just appear in a list which should become more worthwhile as the amount of Ads increases over time. I can genuinely see a potential for earning more from Ad revenue than the cost of buying these hits, but I have a healthy amount of scepticism that it will go wrong when Google Adsense find out about how I’m obtaining new hits. I will be fully testing this, so you don’t need to take the risk of getting Adsense suspended or similar Ad networks. If this system does prove to work, one could truly make massive amounts of income using it.

5 Ways to Get Your Blog Indexed by Google in 24 Hours

We all know that content is king and that if you keep blogging… if you keep doing what you love… the traffic and the money will follow suit. While that’s partially true, there is also things that you can do to:

Index your newly launched blog fast by major Search Engines
Increase traffic to your blog
Improve your SERPs (Search Engine Result Positions)
Why wait right? Content can be king but waiting around for traffic to come by itself is not a good way to start blogging. So let’s start…

Getting Indexed
Let’s say you launched a blog today and want it on Google’s results tomorrow. Can this be done? Yes.

Easiest way to get indexed by major Search Engines is to get mentioned by established blogs. This usually will get your blog indexed within 24 hours. But since we are new (i.e the newly launched blog of ours) I don’t think any blogger want to mention it. So instead of begging other bloggers to notice your newly launched blog, you just have to figure out other ways of getting indexed by Google fast. Can it be done? Absolutely! (All it takes a little effort on your side).

1. Blog Communities

There are few blog related community portals that have a very good rankings in Google and other Major Search Engines Results, they are: MyBlogLog, BlogCatalog, Blogged and NetworkedBlogs, particularly MyBlogLog. This means that if you get your blog on these blog communities, Google will have no other choice but to index your blog. So, go ahead and register for an account on these communities and list your blog on it. Once you are done you will have a page like this, this and this.

What to pay attention: Your blog’s description (have a proper write-up), keywords & tags (add related keywords and tags to your listing, this will be used by other members to find your blog), branding (put your logo, avatars, screenshots etc. have a consistent branding everywhere), and list your blog in the correct category.

2. Site Valuation & Stats Sites

Some of those How Much Your Site Worth? sites have a good ranking in Search Engines. All you need to do is to go there and check how much your site worth. This would create a special page for your blog (like this) and consecutively it would be indexed by Google. Here is a list of worthy sites: WebsiteOutlook, StatBrain, CubeStat, WebTrafficAgents, BuiltWith, WhoIs, QuarkBase, URLfan and AboutTheDomain.

3. Feed Aggregators

List your blog’s feed in these feed aggregators Feed-Squirrel, OctoFinder, FeedAdage. Once you have submitted your feed to these sites, they will keep track of your newly published posts and index them in their site. Whenever someone clicks on the blog post title, he/she will be redirected to your original blog post sending you free traffic and getting your latest posts indexed by Google.

4. Social Sites

Registering account on Social Sites with the same username as your blog’s URL is very effective in getting your blog indexed by Search Engines. Especially for those targeted keywords.

For example, if your blog’s name is WhiteElephant, it’s a good practice to register the same username at twitter as @WhiteElephant, and to create a page in Facebook at www.facebook.com/WhiteElephant. Having a consistent keyword-username on all major Social Sites will help get your blog indexed faster, and at a later stage it will also help build a “brand” for your blog.

So, get account on major Social Sites for your newly launched blog, namely: Twitter, Facebook (create a page for your blog), Digg, StumbleUpon, Delicious etc. By the way, it’s a good pratice to create a separate Social Sites account for each of your projects. This way you can stay focused and post messages that are related to your project. In the long run, this will help build a community that are like-minded around your project.

Note from Darren: it’s worth nothing that many social media sites (like Twitter) use no follow tags on links which means the links don’t really help with SEO. Having said this - it’s still worth getting pages for your keywords/brand as these pages can rank in and of themselves in Google and can help you to have control over numerous search results for the same keyword.

5. Misc Sites

Squidoo is a community website that allows people to create pages (called “lenses”) on various topics. Creating a topic that is related to your blog and then including your feed in that page would help your blog get indexed by Search Engines. Squidoo used to have a really good ranking in Google results, but not so much today. But it’s still ranks well and it shouldn’t be neglected.

ChangeDetection is a website that monitors sites for changes. When you monitor a particular site using ChangeDetection, it will ask you whether you want the notices to be public or private. If you say public, it will be published in their news section. For example; AdesBlog.com got an update today, type of update: text additions etc. This of course will get picked up by Search Engines and Search Engines in return will index your blog.

Technorati is a search engine for searching blogs. According to Wikipedia, as of June 2008, Technorati was indexing 112.8 million blogs and over 250 million pieces of tagged social media. It’s a dying breed, but not just dead yet. You have to definitely register for an account and get your blog listed on Technorati.

That’s it. Once you are done with creating accounts and submitting your newly launched blog in the above mentioned sites, you should see your blog in Google’s Search Results within 24 hours. Most of the time it will appear within the next few hours only.

Lastly, getting indexed is one thing but sustaining that traffic is another. And this is where the Content is King phrase should truly be emphasized. Because, without a good and valuable content, all your effort will be just wasted.

Spyware, Viruses, Trojans and Simplified Removal

Many people each day are infected with numerous forms of Virii including Spyware, Malware, Trojans, Greyware, etc. All of these programs will infest your computer and cause a variety of problems.
Some indications that you might be infected are:
-Slowing and Bogging down of your computer -Slowing of internet connection -Random Adds popping up on your computer -Your home page gets changed and you cannot change it back -You get redirected to website offering removal software that you can purchase -You have lost your administrative rights -You cannot access your Task Manager
There are many symptoms that can be left by infectious programs. Those are just a few of the most common ones.
Alot of these programs are easily installed on your computer without you even knowing about it! Some of the methods used to infect a pc can even be implimented by clicking on a link, opening up websites, and downloading and running applications. The reason being is that people have learned how to get past (exploit) certain security features on your web browser. By doing this, your web browser treats it as if it were not a threat and lets it onto your computer.
Here is how I get rid of malicious programs that are on my clients computers.
1. First, make sure your system restore points are turned on! They must be on!
2. Look up a program called CCleaner.exe and download it. Install it, and run it! This program will clean up any and all temporary files on your computer and make the next work much faster. The link to CCleaner will be provided later.
3. Next, you will need to download a program called Malwarebytes. This program will scan, detect, and remove any and all malicious programs on your computer. It is a great program and it is free just like CCleaner.
-Install it, let it automatically update it's database, then run a 'Quick Scan'. -This will do a scan on your PC and find the problems that are affecting your computer. -Now all you have to do is select the option to Remove the Selected files. -The program will remove all of the malicious programs, registry information pertaining to them, memory information pertaining to them, and any stored points relating to the virii.
4. Once everything is removed you will usually be asked to restart your computer. This needs to be done to make sure everything that the virii did are wiped out of memory and registry so they will not come back.
By using this method I am 100% positive that you will come out with a clean computer that performs faster better! This is the same method I use on my clients computers and it is the fastest, and safest way.
Just remember that the time it takes to run the programs will vary depending on your computer, and how much data your computer has. That is why we run CCleaner first, because it will clean out all of the junk. I hope you found this intel useful and I hope you can use it for future reference.

1. Profile Photo
Add a recent photo, head and shoulders and clothed! You will get more friend invites and general contact with others if you have a friendly picture of your face on your profile to greet people.
2. The Shout Box
Add a copy of your affiliate banner code in the 'shout box' - inviting people to join Yuwie by clicking on your banner, that way if people visit your profile that aren't members, they will join up via your banner and become your referral member and part of your team.

3. Join Clubs
The clubs are there so you can meet with other Yuwie members and share tips and advice, remember you don't have to join every business opportunity you are offered by others, instead, if you spend time focusing on what the club is about, and making it a community you will stand out from the rest and be noticed, and so will YOUR business opportunity.
4. Your Yuwie Blog
Your blog is another place you can express yourself, give advice and share products and services that people might be interested in. Pick a topic that interests people (a niche that has a market) and write about that or use some PLR articles that you have the rights to use and add an affiliate link at the end of each article.
5. Comments
If someone visits your page on Yuwie remember to visit their page back and leavea comment too, it counts towards your page views and it's friendly ! Note: Don't 'spam' your friends' comment pages with business banners and sales copy instead, invite them to your club on Yuwie or to visit your Yuwie blog, the idea is that people choose to visit you and your business, you don't force it on them!
6. Join Digg and Delicious
You will notice these two FREE bookmarking sites next to your blog, I recommend you Delicious all your Yuwie blogs as this activity is picked up by other bookmarking services and increases visitors, it is best to get a friend or team mate to digg your blog – if they think it is a good article. Add me as a friend and send me your shouts, I digg articles about once a week I delicious daily.
7. Join Facebook and Twitter
Again, joining these BIG FREE networks will increase your web presence. You can add add your customized Yuwie referral links to these sites and your Yuwie blog RSS. Automation of fresh content brings visitors.
Note: don't spam messages to people on these networks or you will be banned
Invite people to view your latest blog article or club update – you can get your Yuwie posts automatically added to your facebook wall or twitter – visitors and friends can see your wall updates.
8. Create a Widget with your Yuwie blog RSS

1. Make your opinion knownPeople like blogs, they like blogs because they are written by people and not corporations. People want to know what people think, crazy as it sounds they want to know what you think. Tell them exactly what you think using the least amount of words possible.2. Link like crazy.Support your post with links to other web pages that are contextual to your post.
3. Write LessGive the maximum amount of information with the least amount of words. Time is finite and people are infinitely busy. Blast your knowledge into the reader at the speed of sound.
4. 250 is enoughA long post is easier to forget and harder to get into. A short post is the opposite.
5. Make Headlines snappyContain your whole argument in your headline. Check out National newspapers to see how they do it.
6. Include bullet point listsWe all love lists, it structures the info in an easily digestible format.
7. Make your posts easy to scanEvery few paragraphs insert a sub heading. Make sentences and headlines short and to the point.
8. Be consistent with your stylePeople like to know what to expect, once you have settled on a style for your audience stick to it.
9. Litter the post with Keywords.Think about what keywords people would use to search for your post and include them in the body text and headers. make sure the keyword placement is natural and does not seem out of place.
10. Edit your postGood writing is in the editing. Before you hit the submit button, re-read your post and cut out the stuff that you don’t need.
